Quero… acabar este guião.

So many times, I’d meet you at the roof… And we’d savour the hot spicy air of Indian nights.

We’d watch the stars, talk about our life back home and life after this.

I remember the silence… The busy Jaipur town turned into a silent grave, waiting for their people to awake the next morning.

And so many nights, we were tired after a day’s work – who would imagine that so many hard and frustrating days work would end up in such a magnificent final day!!

I remember our troubles, our crisis and… Our many happy moments!

Especially those nights, when we would be so tired, so angry with what we’d seen…
And someone would walk into our bedroom and go: “C’mon baby get your shoes on…”

And we would get dressed in a second, put our shoes on and leave to explore the foreigner city we were in.

We would share dreams, fears and problems under those foreigner stars…

Now, so far away of where we were, I can’t hardly wait for when I see you again.

I can’t wait for when I get the chance to call you up, and say:

“C’mon baby get your shoes on!”

Muitas pessoas têm um amante, e outras gostariam de ter um. Há também as que não têm, e as que tinham e perderam. Geralmente são estas últimas que vêem ao meu consultório para me contar que estão tristes ou que apresentam sintomas típicos de insónia, apatia, pessimismo, crises de choro, ou as mais diversas dores.

Elas contam-me que as suas vidas correm de forma monótona e sem perspectivas, que trabalham apenas para sobreviver e que não sabem como ocupar o tempo livre. Enfim, são várias as maneiras que elas encontram para dizer que estão simplesmente a perder a esperança.

Antes de me contarem tudo isto, já tinham estado noutros consultórios, onde receberam as condolências de um diagnóstico firme: “Depressão”… além da inevitável receita do anti-depressivo do momento. Assim, depois de as ouvir atentamente, eu digo-lhes que elas não precisam de nenhum anti-depressivo. Digo-lhes que o que elas precisam é de um Amante!

É impressionante ver a expressão dos olhos delas ao receberem o meu conselho. Há as que pensam: “Como é possível que um profissional se atreva a sugerir uma coisa destas ?!”.

Há também as que, chocadas e escandalizadas, despedem-se e não voltam nunca mais. Às que decidem ficar e não fogem horrorizadas, eu explico-lhes o seguinte:

Amante é “aquilo que nos apaixona”. É o que toma conta do nosso pensamento antes de adormecermos, e é também aquilo que, às vezes, nos impede de dormir. O nosso Amante é o que nos mantém distraídos em relação ao que acontece à nossa volta. É o que nos mostra o sentido e a motivação da vida.

Às vezes encontramos o nosso amante no nosso parceiro, outras vezes, em alguém que não é nosso parceiro, mas que nos desperta as maiores paixões e sensações incríveis. Também podemos encontrá-lo na pesquisa científica ou na literatura, na música, na política, no desporto, no trabalho, na necessidade de nos transcendermos espiritualmente, numa boa refeição, no estudo, ou no prazer obsessivo do nosso passatempo preferido…

Enfim, Amante é “alguém” ou “algo” que nos faz “namorar” a vida e nos afasta do triste destino de “ir vivendo”.

E o que é “ir vivendo”?

“Ir vivendo” é ter medo de viver. É vigiar a forma como os outros vivem, é o deixarmo-nos dominar pela pressão, andar por consultórios médicos, tomar remédios multicoloridos, afastarmo-nos do que é gratificante, observar decepcionados cada ruga nova que o espelho nos mostra, é aborrecermo-nos com o calor ou com o frio, com a humidade, com o sol ou com a chuva. “Ir vivendo” é adiar a possibilidade de viver o hoje, fingindo contentarmo-nos com a incerta e frágil ilusão de que talvez possamos realizar algo amanhã.

Por favor, não se contentem com “ir vivendo”. Procurem um amante, sejam também um amante e um protagonista da vossa vida…

Acreditem que o trágico não é morrer, porque afinal a morte tem boa memória e nunca se esqueceu de ninguém. O trágico é desistir de viver, por isso, e sem mais delongas, procurem um amante.

A psicologia, após estudar muito sobre o tema, descobriu algo transcendental:

“Para se estar satisfeito, activo, e sentirem-se jovens e felizes, é preciso namorar a vida”.

But Now I’m free. I Just realized that some people are just not meant for us, and all we can do is let the go and follow your own path.

Now I am on a new path, meeting new people!
And although I’m still miles away from that, I can only hope to dedicate this song to someone some day.

But for now… Here’s a love song to no one!

This is my favourite part… “Jeux d’enfants” aka “Love me if you dare”!

The day has come! Tomorrow, I am going back home!
And now that my christmas spirit is in overdrive…

Here’s a little music to celebrate!!

We live at such an accelerated rate, that we don’t see the fine print. We don’t see the small patterns in the grand scheme of things. ..

So much of what we do in our life, takes us to where we need to be and present us the opportunities to change into the greater version of ourselves.

Not all things are good… And not all people are there to help.
But sometimes, just sometimes, we find the right person on that right moment. The person who shows us a greater truth, who opens another path.

And it’s so rare to stop and think: “This is where I’m supposed to be”.

A million moments brought me here, and a million people helped me reach this far.

Scotland didn’t start this year.

-It started when I was 16 and wrote the story I sent as a sample of my writing;
-When I was 18, in that law school classroom, when the teacher mentioned the Drama Club
-When I first stepped foot on that rehearsal, knowing no one
-When I wrote my first play
-When I acted in front of an audience
-When I met ‘S’ – she then took me to AIESEC, where I met ‘R’; He was the first one to tell me about India last year
- When I changed my course, quit law and started studying communication
-When ‘Fi’ talked to me, and I sent my CV out to radio stations – getting my job at cidade fm;
-When I met Joao Andre, who led me to meet ‘F’,  who I worked with at my communication course.
- When my friend from Cidade Fm pointed out  the connection I had with ‘F’, and the development from that point led me to meet his friend, ‘N’ – Who talked to me about screenwriting.
-  ‘F’ and his reactions made me meet amazing people here.

From the age of 18 to 24, my life changed so much, I can’t help but be marveled.

Writing short stories, writing scripts for Drama club, being fired from cidade fm, meeting N through F, meeting R who wanted to go to India, going to India… It all led me here.

I got this far.

What other coincidences will shape my future and change me forever? Who will be the next person who will drawn me to the path I’m meant to be in…

…and will show me a better version of myself?

I have written two diferent scripts, modified the old one and I am still trying to improve them the best I can.

Why this obessive behaviour towards writing?? (besides the usual writer paranoia…)

Because if I can’t improve my scripts and don’t hand them out by Thursday, I might not be picked to be here next trimester.

So, here I am: stuck in my bedroom, trying to come up with ideas and typing like crazy!

Which is pretty tricky when all I can think about is going home, christmas day and relaxing with my friends in my hometown…

So… Any ideas for short films?? :p
